A level flat grass field, near River Derwent, Steam Rail, Matlock, Bakewell and Chatsworth House.

This is a very popular location for visitor the white peak area. This site is a perfect holiday location for all ages. The site backs onto a steam rail line and on the other side of the railway is a beautiful park that boasts ponds, children's play area, lovely cafe serving food all day.

Great pubs are assessable in either direction from the site. For a larger pub that serves food and drink, with entertainment at most weekends, Barringtons is 10min walk and for a smaller pub that backs onto the river Square and Compass or the Church Inn.

At the cross roads near the entrance to the site is a cycle track that goes directly to Matlock. To cycle in the other direction towards Rowsley, there is a cycle path that runs parallel to the railway line that can be assessed from Darley Dale railway station.

This site is situated at a lovely village hall site, in the small village called Copt Oak. Adjacent to the site is a warm, cosy, but large country pub that's great for food and drinks (https://www.coptoakpubmarkfield.co.uk).

There is a great circular walk (public footpath) that starts from the side of the church next to the pub, goes through the fields behind the site and returns along the main road through the village.

For a day out, Bradgate park (https://www.bradgatepark.org) is a short drive away, great for walks, cycling and visiting the Bradgate House ruins. Even closer is Ulverscroft Nature Reserve (https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/ulverscroft-nature-reserve).

The Bakewell Showground is home to the very famous Bakewell show, catering for all sizes of events. It is a wonderful 30 acre site situated in the picturesque Wye valley just outside Bakewell town centre. Flanked by countryside, and so close to the nooks and crannies of the historic market town, the Showground is so easy to get to, just off the A6. The parking is superbly organised at every event and so are all the amenities.
